Terri Maurer has been an active member of the coalition since it's inception
in the mid-1980s. Following her graduation with a B.A. in Interior
Design from Kent State University, she gained work experience in
hospitality, residential and commercial design prior to sitting
for and passing the NCIDQ examination in 1981. Since that time,
she has worked exclusively in the area of corporate office design
and design of small healthcare facilities. Contributions to the
profession include leadership in the Ohio North Chapter of ASID,
holding positions on various committees, both as committee member
and chair, member of the chapter board, vice president and chapter
president. Service at the national level of ASID includes working
on and chairing a number of committees and task forces, two terms
on the national Board of Directors, Director with Financial Oversight,
and holding office as President-elect, President and Past President
for the Society. Other contributions to the profession include service
on the NCIDQ Panel of Experts, defining the skills and elements of
the 'job' of interior design, service on the NCIDQ task force to
update the definition of what 'Interior Design' is, and an NCIDQ
task force investigating advanced certification for interior designers.
Kristie Oldham graduated from University of Cincinnati, receiving a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design. Kristie is NCIDQ Certified. She is both CIDLO secretary and the VP of GRA for IIDA Ohio/Kentucky Chapter. She has worked for small and medium sized architectural design firms and currently works for Richardson, focusing on corporate and retail design.
